We would like to say a huge thank you to all our customers who shopped with us last year and we hope to see you all, plus new customers and faces, in 2024. Your on-going support is crucial to maintain the vibrancy of the town centre. On-line can be convenient but on-street is so much more enjoyable and sociable!


As with last year the Market Quarter will be playing host to a wide range of activities and events throughout 2024, with events on the Market Yard such as Food Festivals, Music Festivals, Family Entertainment and much more.


The Market Company, Market Tenants Association and Our Aberdare BID representatives will be working hard to deliver a fun packed schedule for the town. We would love to see you there - look out for announcements and keep an eye on the Market Quarter website and facebook page for more details.

Exciting changes at the Market Quarter

New Business Excitement! It’s been a busy year so far at the Market Quarter with eight new businesses joining our community of independent traders. In the Market Hall George Caffee has introduced a delicious selection of Polish inspired cakes and breads, Helo Cofi has re-branded under new ownership to Coffee @ Lilly’s whilst Old Town Vintage have brought an eclectic range of vintage and retro garments and accessories. Aberdare Arrows have enhanced the shopping experience not just with their superb range of darts and darts accessories, but also with their “try before you buy” facility. Cwtsh Kawaii have broadened our cultural experience with a range of Japanese goods but with a distinct Welsh feel, whilst KTC New & Pre-Loved Bargains have brought an eco-conscious approach through saving beautiful high-quality pre-owned clothing from going to landfill. In Market Street Bark Lane have opened their award-winning dog grooming salon and across the street Stacked Aberdare have recently launched the best handcrafted burgers in town made with 100% Welsh produce.  As the long summer draws to an end make sure you pay regular visits to the Market Quarter throughout the Autumn and Winter where you will find the best local independent shopping experience and the best value for money. Come along and join the fun! What to expect: - A fantastic array of food & drink vendors - A superb selection of independent Welsh makers - Live music in the Aberdare Market Yard This is an event you will not want to miss! Everyone is welcome - so please join us and support your town centre. Return of Artisan Craft Fair & Market

Crafty Legs Artisan Craft Fair & Market is back at the Market Quarter We are delighted to announce that the Market Quarter will again be hosting the monthly craft fair and market in association with Crafty Legs in 2026. This will be located on the Market Yard and will operate on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10.00am-4.00pm . We have renewed this initiative to create an improved shopping experience for the town centre and we hope that many people will come along to support it.
